‘ASIA – US TRADE ROUTE’ SURCHARGE UPDATES

30/08/2024

Dear Customer,

‘ASIA – US TRADE ROUTE’ SURCHARGE UPDATES

Following the easing of transit restrictions in the Panama Canal, AAL has recommenced its passaging through the waterway.  In this sense, the previously applicable ‘EDS’ (emergency deviation surcharge) will be cancelled for forthcoming bookings, as of September 1st 2024.

To help meet the cost of booking fees and waiting times at the Canal, a ‘WTA’ (Waterway Transit Surcharge) of US$ 7.50 / FRT will be applied to all related AAL sailings. Our existing ‘PCS’ (Port congestion Surcharge) of US$ 15.00 / FRT continues to apply for relevant and specific port pairs.

In the event of any further changes or developments, related to either this or any of our other trade route services, we will inform you immediately.  In the meantime, we thank-you for your continued support.

For any queries, do not hesitate to contact our team at [email protected].

Thank-you.
