As you know AAL continues to operate multipurpose cargo sailings through the Persian Gulf, in support of our customer supply chain schedules.
However, due to elevated political tensions in the region there has followed a significant increase in insurance premiums required for these sailings. We are accordingly introducing an ‘Emergency War Risk Surcharge’ (EWRS) in the sum of US$ 7.50 per Revenue Ton (R/T), to take place with immediate effectand for all forthcoming sailings through the region.
