Dear Customer,
Due to heightened threat levels in the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait, following recent Houthi attacks and the devastating sinking of a commercial vessel, and the lack of suitable security measures to ensure the protection of our crew, cargo and vessel, we are re-routing the AAL KEMBLA v24002 around the Cape of Good Hope, instead of continuing through the Red Sea as originally scheduled.
With regards to our forthcoming sailing, AAL KOBE v24003, we are currently in liaison with security authorities, and will notify you soonest of any changes to her own scheduled route.
We are monitoring the situation closely and remain in constant contact with our teams and partners in the region, to ensure AAL’s sailings strategy continues to reflect the standards of safety and efficiency that our shippers demand.
